How long does a personalised gift take in Singapore?

A personalised gift in Singapore goes through two stages: processing, then delivery. At LIMTEH, orders are processed within 2 working days and delivery takes 1 to 3 working days. Bulk orders and peak season (Aug, Nov, Dec) may take slightly longer.

Processing is the part that makes a personalised gift different from an off-the-shelf one. The item is made for one person, with one name, so it cannot simply be picked from a shelf. Delivery then works like any other parcel in Singapore.

Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays, so count only those when you work backwards from a birthday, a farewell or a Christmas party.

What happens during the 2 working days of processing?

During processing, your gift is personalised, checked and packed by our team in our own Singapore workshop. Nothing is sent out to another printer, so every step from print file to parcel happens under one roof, for 1 unit or thousands.

1. We read your order. The name, design and colour you chose at checkout become the print or engraving file.
2. We personalise the item. Depending on the product, the name is UV printed or engraved on our own machines. Our Magnum mug, for example, is UV printed, while our 400ml insulated mug is engraved.
3. We check the name. Each item is checked against the order before it is packed.
4. We pack it and hand it over for delivery to your address in Singapore.

Why do personalised gifts take longer in peak season?

Personalised gifts can take slightly longer in peak season because many more orders arrive in the same few weeks, and each one is made individually. In Singapore, that happens three times a year: Teachers' Day in August, and Christmas plus corporate year-end gifting in November and December.

In those months, the work per order does not change, but the queue does. A class gift for 30 teachers or a team order for 80 staff means 30 or 80 different names to set up, print and check one by one. That is why we say bulk orders and peak season "may take slightly longer" rather than giving a fixed date.

That is also why we never promise an arrival date. What we can promise is the process: your order is personalised, checked and packed in our own workshop, in the order it comes in.

When should I order personalised Christmas gifts?

The best time to order personalised Christmas gifts is as early in the season as you can. November and December are our busiest months, so an order placed early avoids the rush and leaves time to fix a typo or add a forgotten name.

How to avoid delays on a personalised order

Most delays on personalised orders come from the details, not the printing. These habits keep your order inside the normal processing time.

1. Type the name exactly as it should appear. The text is case sensitive, and each product page shows how many characters fit. Check the spelling twice, especially for names with unusual spellings.
2. Choose every option before checkout. Colour, design and font choices are part of the order. Changing them after checkout slows the order down.
3. Send name lists in one message. For a team or class, send the product, quantity and the full list on WhatsApp, and we will confirm the details with you.
4. Reply quickly if we ask a question. If a detail is unclear, a fast answer keeps the order moving.
5. Count working days, not calendar days. Weekends and public holidays do not count for processing or delivery.
